Drawing ponies tips and tricks for beginners

Description

I made it for :iconxxjaisxx:, but I think many bronies could use it.
1. The first step to draw ponies is to make a construction drawing. I've heard of many people that don't want to use it, but it's actually pretty helpful, in fact my every drawing (even not pony related) is based on construction. A show-like pony is about '3 heads tall', my style includes ponies '3 and a half head tall'. It's also good to remember that ponies' chest is smaller than their flank (it's different when you're drawing a stallion).
2. Body shape is made of several curved lines, you don't want any pointy edges, even for the ears or a horn. About the legs, they basically have 3 parts: upper, middle and the lowest - hoof. Look for some vectors or scenes in the show and you'll know how and where their legs bend.
3.1. & 3.2. This is a comparison of my style and the show style. All of the differences are on the picture.
On the right side you've ot some tips with more details, some poses, face expressions etc. You can see that when you get used to drawing these, I for example skip drawing constrution for legs and the neck (sometimes), I just know how they should go. Until you don't get used to drawing ponies in random poses, always stick to the constrution.
I hope everything helps, and maybe thanks to it you'll soon invent your own style! :P
